Our Story
Just as the body needs food for nourishment so our spirit needs God’s word to sustain us. Gather Church is a diverse and biblical community of people standing strong upon this conviction, and united in our devotion to the practice and teachings of Jesus. We worship and break bread together over authentic connection, just like the church of ancient days, with a deep commitment to seeing the giftings in our lives expressed to fulfil God’s mandate for our generation.
We believe in the active role of the church to be real and bold solution-makers to the needs around us, as we influence and transform our world — one local community at a time. For us, we’re starting with Cardinia. This is our time!

Our Mission
Our devotion is to the teachings and practices of Jesus, IN MAKING DISCIPLES, our purpose is to be solution-makers to the needs around us and our passion is to bring fame to God’s kingdom on earth.

Our Focuses
Our culture is made up of four key pillars along with our values.
Gatherings
Our gatherings are places to be open, inclusive and connected as we break bread together, worship Jesus through encounters with His Holy Spirit and experience authentic connection. We believe that togetherness is powerful and it’s God’s design. We gather intentionally, whether it’s in large or small groups, catering to various styles and different means of building community and fellowship.
Good graces
We take seriously our God-given role as bringers of bread for the voiceless and vulnerable — both practically, emotionally and spiritually. We believe in impacting community spaces, both near and far, by demonstrating God’s love in action, in order to transform the lives of the people around us.
Prayer
Jesus said my house will be called a house of prayer, which is why prayer sits at the centre of what we do. Prayer helps us to understand the heart and will of God and activate our faith to see His will done on earth. Our heart is that our house would be a place for all people to come and receive prayer, sit in His stillness and receive the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
Emerging Generations (Soon To Start)
Children
We see children and hear the sound of children not as the church of tomorrow but as the church of today. Our gatherings are designed for children to be welcomed, nurtured and encouraged to begin and continue their own personal walk with Jesus — no matter their age.
Youth
We create spaces and opportunities for our teenagers to experience the power, love and acceptance of Jesus through encounters with His Holy Spirit. It’s about guiding them in establishing foundations that will propel them into a life guided by a deep and personal faith in Jesus.
Our Values
Our values encapsulate the culture that we feel God has uniquely called our church to cultivate.
As true disciples, we desire to be known by the way we express love to each other andthose around us. The love of God is all-consuming, empowering, and available to allwho will receive it. Through the love we’ve received, we freely give love to each otherand to those around us.
God’s desire is to move us forward. There’s only one thing better than the truth, andthat’s the whole truth. The teachings of the Bible are our reference point and anchor.We champion, uphold and fight for truth, within our church and our wider community.
Jesus’s last word is our first priority: to go and make disciples. This starts withknowing and following His practice and His teachings continually. We cultivate apersonal relationship and walk of discipleship that leads to being whole and fulfilled in Him, which naturally results in a life of influencing our spheres with His message of light and love.
We operate from a posture of honour — always giving respect and esteem to God and others above ourselves. We believe that honour is the basis of the kingdom of God, and by choosing to walk in it we unlock blessing in our lives and the lives of others — allowing us to experience abundant supernatural favour and rest.
God created the world out of nothing, and through His power made available to us, we’re each uniquely called to innovate and create something out of that which exists —to impact our world. We aren’t afraid to think differently with God, to reimagine convention and to dream boldly with Him.
Through the Holy Spirit we can be transformed to transform our spheres — seeing lives and communities radically changed for the better once they encounter Jesus. We seek to make an impact wherever we are and wherever we go, drawing upon His love, strength and power.
We pursue and prioritise the same unity celebrated in the scriptures, reflecting God’s design, to delight His heart and command His blessings in our gatherings. We’re a family with many parts, each with different backgrounds, personalities or cultural origins, desiring the unity that demonstrates oneness of purpose in what He calls us to be and do.
Like Jesus and His devotion to serve others first, we humbly choose to wholeheartedly serve God and others. We lift up and champion others along their journey, calling out their God-given potential and encouraging them to live a life of servanthood. We’re welcoming, open, gentle and loving in the way we approach people.
