Our Pastor

Joëlle Kabamba

As an author, speaker, pastor, community-builder and lover of people, Joëlle is a burst of energy who embraces life to the full, fuelled by a deep passion to see people of all walks of life empowered and set free. Joëlle has many years of ministry experience; in Brisbane, where she served in multiple churches including Hope Centre Brisbane and also in Melbourne, at both Life Melbourne and Flow Church. In this season, Joëlle is incredibly excited to be planting Gather Church in Officer, in the South East of Melbourne, with a heart for people and communities within the area — and beyond — to experience and be transformed by the light, love and truth of Jesus. Joëlle holds a Bachelor of Social Science, a Bachelor in Theology and a Master of International Community Development. Joëlle is currently studying with Fuller Seminary in church planting.

Rachel George

Rachel is a strategic leader with over 15 years of experience in public policy, evaluation, and advisory services across Australia and the Indo-Pacific. She is passionate about strengthening public systems to reduce inequality and promote sustainable development. Rachel brings a collaborative, values-based leadership style grounded in her faith, family, and commitment to community. With two decades of church service in Adelaide and Melbourne, she offers wisdom, strategic thinking, and a heart for people—qualities that will enrich our Church board’s governance and spiritual mission.

Alex Attard

For the past eight years, Alex has served as General Manager for a large church in the south east of Melbourne. With his background in Mechanical Engineering and three decades of his life employed in pastoral ministry, including 12 years as a senior pastor in Brisbane, Alex brings a broad range of experiences and a unique perspective to our board.
